A new hello from the conservation labs

Hi, my name is Sarah and I have taken over from Kirstie who left the museum for pastures new. I am from Germany and trained there as a conservator of archaeological objects and decorative arts. I started at RAMM in 2009 on a conservation student placement and have been working here on and off ever since until I got the position as a project conservator.

It is very exciting working on the Greek and Cypriot collection as it contributes to making all the objects which are not on display more accessible. Plus it is also very satisfying treating objects that were in desperate need of some attention!

I will take up the threads from the first round of the Leventis project and update you about the latest stages of our work in the labs.
